2026 Mid-Season Report

We’re over halfway through the 2026 season and the RVR raccoons have been busy! Between IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, GT4 America, and GT World Challenge America, we’ve had six BMWs on track, plenty of podiums, trips to victory lane, and enough chaos to keep things interesting.

IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge

Our two GS-class BMW M4 GT4 EVOs have been battling it out all season long.

The #92 Vbrick Systems BMW M4 GT4 EVO with Robert Megennis and Nicky Hays, has shown strong pace throughout the opening rounds. Nicky has also had a big year off the track, earning the 2026–27 IMSA Diverse Driver Development Scholarship. On track, the duo has had several strong runs, fighting toward the front at multiple events.

The #38 ST Racing by Random Vandals BMW M4 GT4 EVO, driven by Samantha Tan and Bill Auberlen, has had no shortage of excitement. The partnership between ST Racing and RVR has produced some impressive recovery drives as well as a few moments that made everyone hold their breath.

The results haven’t always shown the pace we’ve had, but both cars have consistently been in the fight.

GT4 America

GT4 America has once again been a full-on raccoon operation, with RVR fielding a car in each of the series’ three classes.

The #94 Garagisti / Vbrick BMW M4 GT4 EVO of Kenton Koch and Sam Craven came into the season with plenty of championship pedigree, and they’ve delivered. The pair have been regular contenders at the front of the Pro-Am field and currently lead the championship with a comfortable margin over second.

In Silver, the #98 Zimperium / Vbrick BMW M4 GT4 EVO of Josh Green and Bruno Colombo has been steadily making its way toward the front. Josh entered the season as the reigning Pro-Am champion and a member of the BMW Young Driver Academy, while Bruno joined the program for his first full GT4 America campaign. The pair have picked up multiple podiums and are currently 4th in the Silver class championship.

And then there’s the #188 Lupe Tortilla BMW M4 GT4 EVO of Denny Stripling and Judson Holt. These two have kept things spicy in the Am class with wins and plenty of time spent at the front. Despite a few setbacks, the duo sits 3rd in what has been a very close Am battle all season long!

GT World Challenge America

Our GT3 program has been battling at the sharp end of GT World Challenge America with the #99 Vbrick / Franck Muller BMW M4 GT3 EVO of Derek DeBoer and Hampus Ericsson. Hampus came into the season fresh off claiming the 2025 Lamborghini Pro Class Championship, while Derek has continued to show strong pace in the GT3 ranks.

The #99 has been in the hunt for top-five finishes throughout the season, but haven’t quite had all the pieces fall into place just yet. Still, the pace is there, and there’s plenty of racing left to turn that pace into results. Stay tuned as things get even more interesting later this season with the Indianapolis 8 Hour on the horizon.

Looking Ahead

It’s been a busy season with many wins, podiums, close calls, penalties, cautions, mechanical gremlins, wet races, hot races, and enough pit stops to make Gizmo consider opening his own snack bar. With plenty of races still to go, the raccoons are far from done. We’re heading into the second half of the season hungry for results.
