Random Vandals Racing to Contest Indianapolis 8 Hour Race
Veteran IndyCar driver Conor Daly to join current Bronze drivers Al Carter and Paul Sparta in the #98 RVR BMW M4 GT4 in GT4 Class
Bridgewater, NJ – September 28, 2021 – Random Vandals Racing (“RVR”) makes its debut appearance in the SRO Intercontinental GT Challenge Powered by Pirelli at the Indianapolis 8 Hour Powered by AWS this October. The team will also finish its inaugural season the same weekend in the Pirelli GT4 America series.
Indianapolis native and IndyCar/Sportscar veteran Conor Daly will join Al Carter and Paul Sparta as a Gold/Bronze/Bronze lineup in the GT4 class driving RVR’s BMW M4 GT4. Vbrick Systems will continue as the primary car sponsor.
“Now that the IndyCar season is over, it will be great to get back in a sportscar in couple of weeks at the IMS road course, which I love. The Indianapolis 8 Hour was a really great event last year, so I am happy to be back in the Random Vandals’ BMW for a really cool hometown event that seems to have a lot of momentum,” said Conor Daly.
“We are thrilled to have Conor back in the car with us,” said Paul Sparta, Team Principal and co-Driver of the #98. “Al Carter, Conor, and I have had success in the past in club endurance races, so it’s a great combination to bring back at this level to run what is becoming a very prestigious event. Similarly, any chance you get to take a green flag at IMS is just an honor. I am thrilled for my first run here.”
About Random Vandals Racing
Random Vandals were born over quantities of spirits, espresso, and other liquid substances. After driving together, team Co-Principals Ron Lipson and Paul Sparta decided, “Hey, let’s form our own race team…. what could possibly go wrong?” We discovered we had a talent for turning money into noise, worn out parts, and happily, some race wins. We like to compete, win, and have a good time. We have been fortunate to have team of dedicated professionals to help us d all three. We have big plans for the future.
