Random Vandals Racing Announces 2026 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Plans

Robert Megennis and IMSA 3D Scholarship Recipient Nicky Hays to compete in the full GS season

Concord, NC — Random Vandals Racing is proud to unveil its 2026 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Michelin Pilot Challenge Grand Sport (GS) class entry with the talented driver pairing of Robert Megennis and Nicky Hays in the #92 Vbrick Systems / Franck Muller BMW M4 GT4 EVO. This effort marks RVR’s continued commitment to competitive racing and equity in motorsport.

Megennis, with proven podium-chasing pace, brings speed, experience, and consistency that aim to contend at the front of the GS class throughout the 2026 season.

Hays enters the RVR program as the recipient of the 2026–27 IMSA Diverse Driver Development (3D) Scholarship, a prestigious honor awarded by IMSA that includes substantial season support and development resources to compete in a top-level GS entry.

“I have known Rob for a while, so I am really pleased to finally get him in a Vandals car,” said RVR Team Principal, Paul Sparta. “We are chuffed to have Nicky as Rob’s teammate. Nicky put in some great drives last year in Super Trofeo, so I can’t wait to see how Rob and Nicky will go in our M4. Fast is my expectation.”

“I’m ecstatic to join Random Vandals Racing alongside Rob in 2026,” said Nicky Hays. “Rob and I have been friends for a while, and reuniting as teammates in sports cars is special. His experience in the GS class will be a huge asset. RVR had a strong 2025 season, and I’m excited to build on that momentum in 2026. Thank you to IMSA and Paul Sparta at RVR for bringing this program together.”

“So excited to be racing in 2026 with Random Vandals and Nicky!” exclaimed Robert Megennis. “RVR is a team that’s had a lot of success and wins over the last few years, and I know we’ll have all the tools to continue that form. Thank you to the team and my partners for making it happen. Can’t wait to get going!”

The RVR GS entry will campaign a BMW in the ultra-competitive GS class IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season, beginning with the season opener at Daytona International Speedway in January.
